LAKE FOREST, Calif. — Portfolio announced the hiring of Tariq Kamal as the company’s new marketing and advertising director, effective Jan. 1.
It was obvious to me right away that he was a perfect fit and we couldn’t be more optimistic going forward.
Kamal previously served as associate publisher of Bobit Business Media’s Dealer Group, which produces Auto Dealer Today, F&I and Showroom, Agent Entrepreneur and P&A magazines and the annual Industry Summit, Agent Summit and Compliance Summit.
“The Portfolio team is extremely fortunate to have such a qualified person join us to lead our marketing and advertising team,” said Tanya Stevenson, Portfolio’s vice president of marketing and sales. “We were very impressed with Tariq’s contributions to the industry, especially in the articles he has written and events he has contributed to. It was obvious to me right away that he was a perfect fit and we couldn’t be more optimistic going forward.”
Over the course of nearly two decades in publishing, Kamal gained expertise in automotive retail, finance, agency and fleet operations.
“Portfolio presented an incredible opportunity to further my career in a new field with an industry leader,” he said. “I am excited to be part of the team and looking forward to accomplishing great things together.”
